About this event:

We explored more verbs this morning. We read a book entitled Kites Sail High – a Book About Verbs. We played the action verb game again. I introduced an art project to the students. We are looking at the artwork of the pointillist artist, Georges Serat. I explained how colors are mixed by using the primary colors. Serat placed tiny specks of colors near each other and allowed the eye to mix them. We are experimenting with this technique.

I introduced vertebrates at our late group time today. We discussed the characteristics of vertebrates. Using card materials, students identified which class each animal belongs in (fish, amphibian, reptile, bird or mammal). We will look at fish tomorrow.
