The students were busy this morning! We painted the mural backdrop for our hermit crabs. We shared an Eric Carle book entitled, “A House For Hermit Crab”. The students colored a hermit crab and then looked in the collage box for items to decorate their crab’s shell. These will be displayed on our mural backdrop along with any other sea creatures we happen to make.
We had a land and water form lesson where we compared three pairs of land and water forms: lake/island, isthmus/strait, and peninsula/bay. The students were shown models, felt positive/negatives and photographs. Students will have an opportunity to make land and water form booklets.
