About this event:

One of our younger students took on the challenge of place value.  He joyfully constructed numbers to the thousands and impressed the Early Childhood Auburn University students who were recording their observations.  In addition to this lesson, a group of students accepted the challenge of writing the squares of numbers from 1 to 5 in  pre-made squaring grids. They joyfully showed other interested students how to do the lesson.  They immediately expressed a connection to their concrete skip counting work.
