Tuesday morning Adeet Handel joined us to share the story and customs of Passover. She brought in matzo and grape juice to share. Adeet and Yonatan showed us the 6 foods that are eaten during Passover Seder dinner along with matzo and wine/grape juice. These foods are eggs, parsley, horseradish, a nut/date butter, bitter herbs (salad) and shank bone. Adeet read two books about how Passover is celebrated by families and friends and explained that Passover is a celebration of the Jewish people’s exodus from Egypt.
