This morning the students were introduced to 3 land forms and their “corresponding” waterforms. These were: lake/island, peninsula/bay, and isthmus/strait. Using 3 dimensional models and colored water, the students were given definitions of each land and water form. To reinforce the lesson, I used felt models as well and picture cards and labels. Several students began follow up work, coloring and labeling pictures to construct a booklet.
